Application
Appropriate and good surface preparation significantly increases the top coat life and durability. Efflorescence or mold must be treated before application of paint. Treat any area affected by mold, lichens, algae or moss with bleach. Deploy skilled/experienced individuals for the application of paint. A few general instructions are given below.
Surface to be painted must be dry clean and free from all contamination and efflorescent salts. Remove dirt, grease and waxy material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper. Apply 1 coat of Happilac Interior Wall Primer and 2-3 coats of Happilac Silk Putty. Allow the surface to dry out completely, scuff with a suitable abrasive paper, and dust off.
After surface preparation apply 1st coat with thinning as base coat with roller. And apply 2nd and 3rd coat with steel trowel without thinning to achieve desired texture.
