Happilac Paint Remover is a fast reactive, slow evaporating, and superior quality compound which on application swells the old paint and enables its easy removal.

Appplication

Remove dirt and grease from the surface. Apply Happilac Paint Remover with a brush and give enough time for the film to become soft before removing it with a scraper. Softening of the paint depends upon the typical thickness of the paint. Do not allow the paint remover to dry on the surface. Residues remaining after the scrapping of the paint should be carefully removed by scuffing and washing with water. The surface then should thoroughly be dried. In the case of wood, it should be left on the minimum possible time otherwise it will penetrate into the wood pores and may affect subsequent paint coatings.

Health and Safety

It is flammable, so keep away from combustible materials and sources of ignition e.g. oxidizing agents, strong alkaline, and strong acidic material to avoid any exothermic reaction. In case of fire, use alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, AAAF, CO2, and fire extinguisher. Never use water. No smoking. Keep upright and tightly closed container. Work in full ventilation. Keep out of reach of children. Harmful by inhalation so don’t breathe vapor or sand dust. Wear a cartridge mask. Irritating to eyes and skin so use safety goggles, gloves, and shoes. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart. Use soap and water if contact with skin.
Damage to health by prolonged exposure. Don’t swallow, seek medical attention in any severe case. Take enough care during transporting, protect from heat and extremes of temperature. Store in a cool and dry place. In case of an accident, contain and collect spillage using sand. Don’t empty into a drain or watercourses, very toxic to aquatic organisms, dispose of any paint waste in accordance with appropriate environmental quality regulations.
WARNING: Scraping/sanding off previously painted surfaces may release lead dust or fumes. Lead is highly toxic; take protective measures thoroughly when rubbing off the old surfaces.
